The Lamar County Probate Court exercise jurisdiction in the probate of wills, the administration of estates, the appointment of guardians and the involuntary treatment of persons suffering from mental illness.  This Court also administers oaths of office, issues marriage licenses, gun permits and performs certain administrative duties.
