Our Office is responsible for the valuation of all real and personal property in the county. This includes new construction, additions to property, new businesses, boats, etc. This office compiles the Tax Digest of all Real and Personal Property in Lamar County. Our mission is to provide a fair, uniform & accurate assessment as mandated by state law.

Appraiser Trainee/Clerk

Must be 21 years of age, good communications skills, must be proficient in computers (excel and word), must have excellent customer service skills, High School Diploma or GED; Must have good mathematical aptitude; Ability to meet and relate well to the general public and co-workers; will be required to complete and pass mandatory courses; Able to travel and work beyond normal work schedule as need ( i.e. schools, conferences and peak work periods). Salary Range is 8.50 to 9.50 hr.
