A WORD FROM  THE LAMAR COUNTY BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS

LOGIC AND ACCURACY TESTING PUBLIC NOTICE
Notice is hereby given that the logic and accuracy testing and preparation of voting equipment to be used in the November 2, 2021, General & Special Election will begin at 1:00 p.m. on Monday, September 27, 2021. Such preparation and testing will continue from day to day until complete. Said testing and preparation will be conducted at the Lamar County Board of Elections and Registration Office located at 408 Thomaston Street, Barnesville, GA 30204. The preparation and testing will be open to the public and members of the public are entitled to be present during the preparation and testing. Public observers and media will be subject to the rules for public gatherings, public access, and proper social distancing.

The Lamar County Planning and Community Development Office guides property owners and businesses through local, state, and federal regulations in building, licensing, and land use.  Building permits, land disturbance permits, film permits, occupation tax permits, hotel/motel permits, alcohol licensing, zoning changes, variance requests, special exception applications, code enforcement, right of way permits, and subdivision approval are all processed through this office with the help of the Board of Appeals and the Planning Board.
